SERBIA AND MONTENEGRO. ROME, January 12. Serious affrays occurred between Serbian troops and Montenegrins, who desire tne independence of their country. The Montenegrins, though in superior numbers, were badly armed and lacked supplies, and they were dispersed. The total death rod on both sides was 120. The Serbian authorities in Cettigne, Podgoritza, and Insch made 400 arrests, and seized 30 leading residents as hostages. The Montenegrins are determined to resist Serbian domination at any cost.
