FIRE BLIGHT
ERADICATION OF THE DISEASE. MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE OPTIMISTIC. WELLINGTON, January 13. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr W. Nosworthy) is having a speoia! report prepared respecting the disease known as fire blight. Though the pest is causing growers much anxiety, the Min’ster sees no reason for undue alarm, and he hopes that the efforts of his department will result in the eradication of the disease.
