LONDON, January 4. ; The London Chamber of Commerce con- . siders the question of cargo pilfering very , serious, and intends to force its considera • tion before Parliament. It is stated that I Lloyds passed claims for £500,000 for ■ losses last year. 5 WELLINGTON, January 5. ’ A Wellington firm importing motor 1 tyres and tubes found on opening some 3 cases that the contents had been removed and the cases filled with sacks of sand and 3 rye straw similar to that from America, , The total loss amounts to £SOOO. This s i the most glaring cast* of cargo pillaging e that has been reported.
