VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

BRISTOL AND DOMINIONS PRODUCERS’ ASSOCIATION. LONDON, January 6. The shareholders of the Bristol and Do minions Producers’ Association have decided to liquidate voluntarily. They have appointed a committee of inspection. The Australian Press Association understands that the cause of the trouble was chiefly overbuying honey, syrups, and canned goods, which declined heavily. AUCKLAND, January 9. The decision of the Bristol and Dominion Producers’ Association to go into voluntary liquidation was discussed on Saturday by Mr C. F. Ryland (of Auckland), general manager of tile New Zealand Co-operative Honey Producers Association. Mr Ryland said that the Bristol and Dominion Association had done much for the honey producers of the dominion, and it was largely due to the efforts oi Major Norton, managing director of the association, that the honey producers had been induced to export to England. Until last year the association had handled all the honey exported from New Zealand to Great Britain. Owing to shipping difficulties, and also to the fact that other markets seemed more favourable than those of Great Britain, practically none of last, year’s crop had been sent Home. In any case, the liquidation of the association in no way affected the New Zealand honey producers. All the honey exported to Great Britain was on consignment. The New Zealand Co-operative Honey Producers’ Association was in no way connected with the Bristol and Dominion Producers’ Association, and the decision of the latter would come as a surprise to the New Zealand branch of the association. Referring to the outlook for New Zealand honey, Air Ryland said the prospects were good.
