Can the Official Assignee claim property which has been given to the wife of tho bankrupt?" Answer: No. Mortgagor asks: —"I gave a mortgage over my property in August, 1915, for a period of three years. There is a clause in the mortgage excluding it from the provisions of tho Mortgages Extension Act. If tho mortgage is called up on the due date, am I compelled to pay off the mortgage?" Answer: Yes. Amusement Tax asks:—"(l) At a public m&eting it wa°' decided to biiy ground and lay down a bowling ground. A number of" persons agreed to give £3 each in instalments for the above purpose. lected? (2) What steps should be taken to incorporate the club?" Answers: (i) Kb. (2) Application will require to be made to the Registrar of Incorporated Soeietiea, Wellington, for incorporation of the club. As the matter of incorporation of the club is fairly technical, it would be advisable for the club to instruct a solicitor to take the necessary proceedings. To protect himself, B \ should take out a policy of insurance if A does not take out one.
