A Maxwell motor car, driven by Mr Overton, of Queenstown, caught fire* midway between Clyde and Cromwell on Wednesday week. When phe fire was discovered the back part waa in flames. The occupants scrambled out. Despite the dense smoke, the driver managed to run baok Into a creek, where the flames were subdued. The upholstery work and back portion of the car were destroyed.
