The double number of the Windsor Magazine, just to hand, contains a naval article, giving many interesting details on Destroyers and Their Work in the War, by H C. Ferraby; “With the Italian Army,” by Hugh C. Wallace; and a-sy in pathetic account of “ Fife and W ork on an Ambulance Tram.” An article on ‘bootball at the' Front” gives a survey of the part which the game has played in the relaxation of our fighting men in their occasional times of respite from sterner work. The good fiction by well-known authors, for ‘which the Christmas Windsors are famous includes’ complete stories by Halliwell Sutcliffe, E. F. A pathetic interest belongs to a clover story by those lamented collaborators, Alice and Claude Askew, which is probably the last story sent homo by them before their tragic end. The illus trations to this excellent array of good letterpress include much clever work. Wo have to acknowledge receipt of a paper-covered booklet, entitled “Wells or Christ—W 7 hich?” a criticism by J.
