HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

Tho first autumn show under the auspices of the Palmerston and "Waihemo Horticultural Society, was held in the Town Hall, Palmerston. on Friday. The societyis to be congratulated on making its debut; with such a splendid exhibition of flowers and Special mention must bo made of tho _ fine collection of collaretto dahlias, exhibited by the judge, Mr J. P. Johnson, of Dunedin. Tho following are the names of the principal prize-takers:—

Pot plants: Mrs P. Ireland, Mrs O'Neill, Mr T. Clarke, Mr- J. R. Rutherford, A. G. Robertson, Constable WoodleV, Miss D. M'Ritehie. Fruit: Miss M'Ritehie. Rev. T. W. Kewley, Miss Heckler>Honey: Mr W. Rodgers. Vegetables: Miss M'Ritehie, Constable Woodley, Mrs D. Walker, Mr D. Ross, Mr W. Cook.. Children's section: R. Walker. Decorative section: Mrs C. H. Fastier. Miss M'Ritehie, Mrs Lefevre.
