SAW SET. This is a saw set of the plier type, and the improvement lies in the set screw. This is readily adjusted with the help of
the pointer, and gives each tooth the same pitch.—Walter G. Herman, Raymond, Washington. (U.S. Patent 1,242,348). HALTER LEAD. The hook-shaped piece here is made of malleable iron. It clamps the locking ring to the halter rope and also prevents the
Halter. Lead halter ring from wearing the rope.—Joseph W. Hall, Virginia, Illinois. (U.S. Patent 1,239,591). CANADIAN MILK PLATFORM AND ICE HOUSE. This building is designed particularly for patrons of cheese factories., It has a covered stand, a milk cooling tank, a crane to lift the cans, and an ice house. It is 17ft by lift, and has a shingled roof with a ventilator in each end. The ice
house is 10ft x 10ft inside measure, and has matched lumber outside, with rough lumber or tongue and grooved inside. It has no floor, but has a 12in layer of broken stone, gravel, or cinders, and above this one foot of sawdust or' planer shavings.
Tank and Crane. Plan,; The sides and top of the ice house are insulated by one foot of sawdust or shavings. The concrete tank is made of one cement, three sharp sand, five broken stone, with a lin coat of one cement to one sand inside. It has a lin supply pipe, overflow, and lin draw-off. The crane has a
