WELLINGTON WING WHISPERS.

Br Petbb Pan. February 15. Dear "Pasquin,"—lt is stated here that a New Zealand syndicate has bought out Edward Branscombe's interest in "The Dandies." To-morrow night Jack Waller's "Look Who's Here" Revue Company will commence its return season hero. I had a look at the box plan yesterday, and it has been woefully disfigured with blue pencil marks. Jim Cathro, who is "ahead" of the show, is wearing a seraphic smile, as he is sure that the opening will eclipse the previous record put up by the company. Waller and his merry band have had a most successful tour in this island. All this week Wellington people have been mystified by a little gentleman named Malini. He is a magician of the first water; as a sleight-of-hand artist he stands alone. I cannot bring to mind any artist who compares with him. He has been drawing large audiences of our most fashionable people to the concert chamber of the Town Hall. Malini intends making a tour of the • Dominion, and leaves here for Auckland next week, where Scott Colville will look after the managerial side. John Hopkins, who went to Australia some weeks ago in search of novelties, is expected back shortly. It is said that "John Hop" has succeeded in his mission. It is not yet decided what will be our Easter attraction, but it will probably be "Mount Manhattan," a musical comedy which J. C. Williamson produced in Melbourne some months back. iSergeant Copeland and "The Kid" aro the big attraction- at His Majesty's just now. "The Kid" is a mental marvel, and evolves arithmetical problems with the ease of an answer-book. The Stanhope Revue Company is in its last week.
