THE SALONIKA FRONT.

French Eastern communiques state: The enemy violently bombarded the Russian positions between Lakes Presba and Malick and west of thoso places. Our detachments crossed the Dovoli and took prisoners. We advanced northwards and occupied the villages of. Gradista, Bubamonastir, Lugor, and Grubai. The Russians and French extended their advance north-west of Lake Malick, occupying the villages of Crabowloa and Premesti and the Cerava heights. Following up their successes they captured the village of Pogradeo, on the south-west bank of Lake Ochrida, and drove the enemy back four kilometres north of Pogradeo. They reached Mulista, on the west'bank of Lake Ochrida, and took a hill 10 kilometres southwest of Mulista. The troops are consolidating the new positions won at Pragraden. The booty captured includes a big Austrian howitzer. • -
