ALLAN.—Killed wliiln in action at the Romaic front, Corporal Robert Gentle (12th Reinforcements), beloved son of Matthew Gentle Allan, and brother of Vera ana John H. Allan. Park terrace, Duucdiu; aged 22 years. He fought the fighl for king and country, honour, and right. BELL.—On October 1, killed while in action "Somewhere in .France," Sergeant Thomas Taylor, dearly beloved son of John and Isabella Bell, "Totara Grove," Stirling; aged 2G years. lie did his duty; lie fought the fight For king and countrv, for honour and right. DUFF.—On September 28, 191 G, killed while in action "Somewhere in France," Private William 11. W. Duff (Third Reinforcements; late X./.. Railways), second beloved son of .Tames and Christina Duff, 431 Princes street, Dunedin. M'COMBE.—On October 1. killed while in action "Somewhere in France," Lancecorporal John Samuel, the dearly-beloved. oldest son of Edwiua M'Combe, Duncan * Street, Dunedin; aged "1 years. Thy will be done. M'GREGOR.—On October 1, 1916, killed while in action "Somewhere in France." Private Donald M'Gregor (9th Reinforcements), dearly beloved second son of Mr and Mrs D.' M'Gregor, IG7 Main road, North-East Valley; in his 21st year. He did his duty. MACKAX.—On September 15, 1916, killed while in action "Somewhere in France," Rifleman John Robert Mackay, dearly beloved eldest son of Mary 8. and the late W. G. Mackay, of Clifton; aged 24 years. Beloved by all who knew him. He did his duty. PARKER.—On December 21, 1916, killed while in action "Somewhere in France," Sergeant Robert V. Parker (14th Reinforcements), eldest son of Lieutenant R. G. V. Parker, Wellington, and brother of Mrs D. Lawson, 17 Princes street, Musselburgh. He did his duty. PARKINSON.—On December 21, 1916, killed while in action "Somewhere in France," Frederick, dearly beloved son of Catherine and the laic James Warren Parkinson, Hi) Greenock street, Kaikorai, and beloved brother of Mrs C. Warring. ton, Mrs J. Milne, and Mrs W. Smith. He gave his life, his best, his all. ROBINSON.—On September 15, lfilfi, killed while in action "Somewhere in France," Lance-corporal Edward E. Robinson (11th Reinforcements), dearlv beloved eldest son of Mrs Milly M. M'Laren, Hood street, Kaikorai, and brother of Mrs M. Anderson (Glen road), Mrs E. Paris (Port Chalmers), Mis M. Odal, and Alexander Robinson (Kakora); in h*s 2 r:i roar Beloved by all who knew him. Nobly fighting, nobly fell. THROP.—On October 1, officially reported killed .while in action in France, Oliver Stafford (Lance-corporal 12th Reinforcements), fourth son of Mr and Mrs Benjamin Throp, Highgatcj Roslyn.
