SHEEPSKINS TO BE COMMANDEERED.
The Wool Advisory Committee, Wellington, has telegraphed to the Wool Brokers' Association hero advising that, in consequence of cabled advices received from London, it has become necessary to take steps to deal with sheepskins, and tho Minister of Agriculture requests that all firms In Otago who hold sheepskin sales- will postpone them until further notico. Tho Advisory Committee is now going into the matter, and a further communication referring to sheepskins will bo sent to tho Brokers' Association at an early date. They also advise that, in connection with tho Government's proposal for dealing with aheepskins and tho scouring of low-grade wool it i 3 necessary that, before tho Government wool is handled by. any fellmonger, hia premises be completely cleared
of all wool or skin 3 belonging to himself. As the Government is about to make detailed arrangements in connection with fcllmongering and scouring, tho Advisory Committee wishes all fellmongers in Otago to know that it is necessary that all wool and skins belonging to them be removed from their promises at the earliest convenient date.
