Tho Boston Globe of January 9 contains a great list, showing that over half a. billion dollars havo recently boon given for charitable and philanthropic purposes. Tho list is headed "Thirty-one individuals who gavo a million or more each." The first item on the list Is calculated to make New Zealanders gasp. It reads, "New Zealand woman for wax relief, 75.000,000 dollar*."
