SHORTAGE OF SHIPPING SPACE.
RESTPJCTIOXS IN FREEZING WORKS AUCKLAND, February 29.
The shortage pf shipping facilities will necessitate a 'restriction of operations at the Southdown and Horotiu works next week to a little more than halt' the normal capacity of the plants. Towards the end of the month the slaughtering of stock will probably be suspended until further shipping is available. The Whangarei works will be closed in a fortnight.
