ACCOUNTANTS AND AUDITORS.
AUCKLAND, March 3.
The annual general meeting of tho Now Zealand Accountants' and Autitors' Association was held to-day.
Tho report stated that tho credit balance at December 31 was £2lB, and the membership 222. Tho President said ho had been in correpondenco with various Australian societies, with a view to establishing reciprocity, and the association was now in communication with the Incorporated Society of Accountants of Victoria, the Federal Institute of Accountants, and the Corporation of Public Accountants of Australia. Officers were elected as follows: —President, Mr Rowley (Wellington); vice-presi-dents—Messrs Bollard (Auckland), Corkill (Taranaki), Forsyth (Wellington), Salter (Canterbury), iStathnm (Otago), Ott (Southland) ; members of Council —Messrs Aicken, Hemingway. O'Halloran, Short, and Whitton (Auckland), Messrs Bailey and Ellis (Taranaki), Messrs Brunton, Fleming', Kellow, M'Kay, and Port (Wellington), Messrs Bascand, Compton, Hutchins, Tyors, Virtue (Canterbury), Messrs Blyth, Mitchell, Patterson. Reitl, Thompson (Otago), Messrs Anderson and' Sfcandrctt (Southland); auditor, Mr P. S. Butler
It was resolved that the next annual meeting be held in Wellington, unless otherwise determined by tho council.
