(From Our Own Correspondent.) OAAIARU. June 5. An absolute blank has been drawn in the stock market, not a single transaction worth noting being discoverable. SOUTHLAND STOCK AIARKET. (From Our Own Correspondent.) INVERCARGILL, Juno 5. During - the past week the stock business Las been inclined to bo quiet. A good many farmers and speculators have been visiting Dunedin for -the Winter Show and races. Three sales have been held this week —one at Dipton, one at Wintou, and one at W allacetown. At these the yardings wore not too largo, and prices wore practically the same as those ruling last week. The feeling that there will not be sufficient winter feed is still prevalent among farmers, and those who are wanting sheep are still reluctant to stock up. At ruling prices in a short time they must show a good profit to the buyer. The disorganisation of the freezing works is still hampering the graziers, .and in many cases - has been felt acutely. This no doubt is a big factor in the adjustment of prices at the present time.

Eat Cattle.—-At Wallacctown on Tuesday there was a fairly big yarding of fat cattle, but the quality was anything but good. Anything of good quality is still selling well, and. prospects of this class of stock are very good.
