INDIAN WHEAT YIELD

SIMLA, June 4,

The control-of-wheat-exports scheme is working successfully. The total exports to May 29 were over 112,000 tons. The final wheat forecast, published on May 27, indicates that million acres are under wheat, yielding 12 bushels per acre, or a total yield of over million tons (?). Prices will be reduced, and freights will be engaged by the Indian Wheat Committee in London at rates appreciably below those chartered by the Indian shipper.
