Speaking- at New Plymouth on Monday, May 3, Mr W. P. Nicoil referred to the very decided improvement in the quality of the milling wheat grown in the Taranaki district during the last few years. When he first came to the district he ~said he had a very poor opinion of locally grown wheat for milling purposes,but this and the last year or two he had seen samples which were quite up to the average milling wheat grown in Canterbury.
