M'DONALD.—KiIIed in action at the Dardanelles, Lance-corporal Charles Vernon M'Donald, Wellington Infantry, son of Elizabeth E. and the late A. W. M'Donald, woolbroker, Dunedin. Deeply .regretted. MABTtN.-On May 10, 1915, died of wounds received at the Dardanelles, Francis Aubrey Dunstan Martin. Ho was born at Clyde, New Zealand, on June 7, 1891, was the only surviving child of the Rev. Francis White Martin, of Napier, and the eldest grandson of Mr and Mrs Daniel Brent, of Dunedin. TOMS.—On May 9, died of wounds received at the Dardanelles, Arthur, dearly, loved son of Mrs S. Toms, Roxburgh; aged 36. He did his duty. STEELE.—On May 23, 1915, died of wounds received in action at the Dardanelles, James Walter, dearly beloved eldest son of Ada and the late James Steele, of Mosgiel; in his 22nd year. He did his duty. WILLIAMS.—KiIIed in action at the Dardanelles, Private George Williams (Otago Battalion), son of Elizabeth and late Charles Williams, expressman, Cavcrsham; aged 28 years. Deeply regretted.
