LONDON, December 5. It is announced in London that a powerful syndicate iias acquired the Specie Bank. Three million pounds’ worth of silver is held bv the London brokers. BOMBAY, December 5. A sensational revelation has been made. The Specie Bank has already lost half a million in silver speculations, and will probably lose another £200,000 upon the stocks in the hands of London brokers. A petition has been presented to wind up the Bombay Merchants’ Bank.
