TWO MEN INJURED.

■AUCKLAND, Eacsmber 2. Cyril Briclgens and Thomas J. Sheehan, while driving a motor milk van from the town, were Tun down by a. train at a level crossing in Newmarket. The van was smashed to matchwood. BrMgens (sustained a broken leg and other injuries, and Sheehan a broken arm and severe scalp and faco wounds. Both were removed to the hospital. Their injuries are not regarded as likely to prove fatal. The accident occurerd at a very dangerous place, where approaching trains are not visible until a person Ls within a very sort distance. It is stated that the whistle was blown, but Bridgens and Sheehan evidently did not hear it.
