PUBLICATIONS RECEIVED.

The Pall Mall Magazine for November undoubtedly takes high rank among the sixpenny magazines, and but for the highpriced advertising it would be impossible to produce such artistic work ami interesting literary matter. Among the special articles is a study of the personality of Sir Edward Grey, by T. P. O'Connor, and “The November Woodland,” by S. L. Boneusan, the latter attractively illustrated in colours. The complete short stories ar» by such well-known writer* as G. K. Chester., ton, Compton Mackenzie, Herman Schef« fauer, and Gerald F. Grogan, while F. J. "Locke’s serial, ‘‘The Fortunate* Youth,” is continued. Hilaire Belloc’s monthly essay is always rcadabl >. Then the art section devoted to the theatre is always informative.
