The Napier Park Racing Club made a profit on the year of £1043. notwithstanding that £1034 was expended in improvements and that there were additions to stakes. Not the least interesting of the 450 exhibits at the inaugural flower show held a# Sanson, near Feilding, was an exhibit of new potatoes of medium size, grown by Mr 11. H. Porrott, of Sanson.
