HONORARY TERRITORIALS.
ASHBURTON. August 22. At a meeting of 70 gentlemen representative of the town and suburbs tojight. Mr C. J. Harjxir (chairman of the Ashburton County Council) presiding, it was unanimously and enthusiastically resolved to form an Ashburton Honorary Territorials Association. Mr Harper was elected president. The Very Rev. Dean O'Donnell, the Revs. J. R. Burgin, W. J. Elliott, and James Inge, and Messrs W. Kosworthy, M.P., and John Studholme were appointed vicepresidents, and a strong and representative committee was set up. Seventy members were enrolled in the room.
