RESOLUTIONS BY COURT OF CONVOCATION. WELLINGTON, July 29. Tho Victoria College District Court of Convocation to-night discussed tho question of university reform, and tho following resolutions were carried; “ That tho university should be constituted of the four colleges instead of being a, at present an examining body, with teaching institutions affiliated to it.” ‘‘That an academic body be established bo make i (commendations to the senate na to degrees, diplomas, scholarships, and prizes, courses of study, and examinations.” “That the senate, the supreme governing body of the university, be mainly elective, and that the convocation bo directly or indirectly the principal electing body.” “ That Parliament be urged to set up a Royal Commission to investigate the question of university education in New Zealand.” Tho question of constitution was referred to a committee to investigate and report later to the convocation.
