OTAGO HIGHLAND CLUB.
The second annual general meeting of the Otago Highland Chib was held on Wednesday,' Julv 25. in the Victoria Hall. Mr MTvor (president) occupied the chair, and there was an excellent attendance of members considering the inclemency of the weather. , In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, the Chairman congratulated the club on the successful issue of the year’s work, and thanked the numerous ladies and gentlemen w lio had so kindly and willingly assisted him in caii\ing out the functions of the club. He asked tii.it the incoming president should bo accorded the same whole-hearted support as liad been extended to him.—(Applause.) j Mr H. M'DonaM seconded the adoption j of the annual report and balance sheet, the motion being carried unanimously. I The following office-bearers were elected ! fur the ensuing year: —President, Mr D. Smith, j At the conclusion of the business an t enjoyable social hour was spent, the following contributing items: —Misses Duncan (diwr, “The crooked bawbee”), Mrs A. i MTvor (Gaelic song). The national music ! was supplied by Pipers M’Millaii Bros.
