When-Mi* J. Lomaa, the secretary of the Labour Department, was in Oamaru last week ho inspected five different sites for workers' homes, and he will report fully on them when the Minister reaches Wellington. The Hon. G. Laurenson (Minister of Labour) told an Oamaru Mail reporter tihat there was a very large dema/id for workers' homes from all parts of the country, end the department would do what it possibly ooulcf not satisfy the demand.
