Mr G. B. Nicholle, addressing the Ghristchurch Prohibition League last -week, said that a " Thousand Voters' League '* was being formed in Canterbury, the idea being that an attempt should be made in each electorate to obtain pledges from 1000 voters to vote against any oandidete who would not pledge himself to support a narrower majority than the threo-niths on the prohibition issue. According to Mr Nicholls the movement is to be propagated throughout New Zealand.
