GREEN ISLAND AND MOSGIEL.
IMPROVED TRAIN SERVICE PROMISED.
A deputation representing the iMoagiel Borough Council and the Green Island Borough Council waited on the Hon. MiMyers Minister of Railways, at tho Grand Hotel on the 17th to lay before him a number of wants in the district. There were present: Messrs Inglis, Andrews, Ellis, Aitken, Williams, M'l/ean, and O'Brien (Mosgiel). Lindsay, (Mayor), Watters, Smelliu. and Kennedy (Green Island). The deputation was introduced by Mr E. IT. Clark, M.P. ff-balmer*), and Messrs C. E. Statham, M.P. (Dunedin Central), and T. K. Siaey, M.P (Dunedin South.) were also present Mr Clark, in Introducing the deputation, said they would like Mr Myers to go out and see the district, so that he might understand tho position thoroughly. Messrs Inglis (Mayor of Mosgiel), Statham, M.P.. Lindsay (Mavor of Green Island). Sidey. M.P., and Ellis laid before the Minister tho wants of the residents in the respective localities.
