ST. PAUL'S BRIDGE BILL. LONDON, June 15. The House of Commons, after a division, decided by 156 votes to 89 to send the St. Paul's Bridge Bill back to the committee because the plan did not give a direct vista of St. Paul's Cathedral. The Corporation of London is unfavourable to a scheme for- placing the bridge further westward on the ground that it will cost from 10 to 20 per cent. more. HEAVY DAMAGES AWARDED. LONDON, June 14. The Court of King's Bench awarded Colonel Bromley-Davenport (U.) £I2OO damages against Mr Robert Pearce (L.), M.P., and the printer of an election pamphlet libel. [Mr Pearce won the Staffordshire (Leek) seat by a majority of 590 over Colonel Bromley-Davenport in December.] . RESULTS OP BYE-ELECTTONS. LONDON, June 16.
