STUDENTS' REVENGE

SYDNEY, May 14,

On being barred by the University Senate from holding the usual commemoration procession, the undergraduates, pressing a varied assortment of vehicles into service, paraded the streets, gathering in the vicinity of the Chancellor's house at Macquarie. There were mixed and weird musical sounds, and hoots and groans. A small squad of police eventually restored harmony.

During the day the Chancellor was inundated .with a curious assortment of gifts from the students, ranging from a live sheep to a pianola, with almost enough coal and wood to stock a shop.
