A CRIME OF LAST YEAR. MADRID, May 12. The trial of Roca has begun. Posas Roca is a lad o£ 13 years. He is charged with attempting to shoot _ Sanor Maura, ex-Prime Minister of Spain, on July 23 of last year. The attempt was made at Barcelona as Scnor Maura was alighting from the Madrid express. Three shots were fired at him, and he was wounded slightly in the arm and leg, a bystander also being wounded. Reca was arrested on the spot, and it was found that he had a revolver containing four unusued cartridges. Though the outrage was suspected to be an Anarchist origin, Roca declared that he had shot the ex-Premier on his own initiative, that he had no accomplices, and belonged to no secret society of any Icind.
