SPORTSMAN SHOT DEAD

BERLIN, May 11. Von Richthofen, the son of a former Minister, fought a duel with a sportsman named Gaffron. Three shots were exchanged at 15 paces. The sportsman was shot dead. The quarrel was due to Gaffron lending 25,000 marks (about £1250) to Richthofen and signing a bill for 40,000 marks (about £2000).
