NEWCASTLE, May 11. The Anglican Synod passed a motion inviting the Imperial Government to repudiate the recent Roman Catholic decree regarding mixed marriages, as the Bishop of Rome had no jurisdiction either in England or the oversea dominions. It also paesed a motion viewing the decree with disdain. MELBOURNE, May 11. The Congregational Union has protested against the ne temere decree as a defiance of civil law.
