WAITAHUNA FARMERS' CLUB.

At the adjourned meeting of the Waitahuna Farmers' Club Mr A. Livingston, who presided, reported that a great improvement had been made at the sheep dip through the timbering of the well. Ho proposed that £5 be voted to the Gabriel's Gully Jubilee Fund. Mr John Scott, in seconding the motion, said but for Gabriel's he would not bo there, near a great many others, nor would there be any Farmers? Club in the place. The motion was carried without dissent. It was decided, on the motion of Mr M'Caw that members of the club purchasing sheep dip firom the club but not dipping at the dub's yards, receive the scale dV-i>unt allowance, and also the 2i if they pay cash, but that the public dip allowance bo retained for the funds of the club. In the course of a discussion on the importation of boys, Mr Livingston said there wore plenty of boys in their own towns who were willing to take a job on the farm, but men were scarce, and good men coming out would be speedily placed. A deputation consisting of Messrs A. M'Millan, W. Smith, R. M'Caw, and the chairman (Mr Livingston) was appointed to wait on the Commonage Trustees to discuss the matteir of placing the commonage affaire on a better footing, the Chairman, in bringing the matter up, remarking that if nothing' was done with the commonage it would in time be done away with.
