CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATIONS

LONDON, June 7. ■ Mrs Birks and Miss Hird, as well as other Australians and New Zealanders, are attending the Young Women’s Christian Associations’ Conference. The conference was gratified with the reports of Australia’s efforts in training workers to assist other societies in their foreign work. Among the problems discussed were the question of hostels for women workers, and proposals for combating a section of Continental Socialists, whose atheism hampers the spread of the society’s social and educational work.
