LONDON, June .2. The Commercial Union Assurance 'Com* pany has absorbed the Ocean Accident and Guarantee Company. WELLINGTON, June 3. With reference to the cablegram from London stating that the Commercial Union has absorbed the Ocean Accident Insurance Company, Mr H. N. Liardet, acting general manager of Uie Ocean Accident Company, states that the mes« sage does not represent the position correctly. He has received cabled advice that the directors have entered into an arrangement for the fusion of the Oceani Accident and Commercial Union, but there will be no change in the existing lines of business. Thus the Ocean Accident does riot lose its identity as the cablegram infers.
