ODDFELLOWS' BALL.
Loyal Cromwiell Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.P., held its annual ball on June 3 in the AthenEeum Hall, wbich was nicely decorated with flags, banners, and evergreens. Fifty couples iook part in the grand march, which was led off by Bro. Tuorr.as Blackie, E.S., and Miss Frances Tkpasas. The
' many beautiful dresses worn made a striking "spectacle. A lengthy .programme was «one through. uJid dancing was vigorously kept up till 3 a.m. to the excellent musfo supplied by Mrs M'Glashan (piano), Mr .T. Gordon (cornet), and Mr F. Partridge (violin). A bountiful supper was provided. Mr Frederick Scott, as M.C. during the evening, proved himself thoroughly proficient in his duties, and a general consensus of opinion pronounced it to have been I enc of the most enjoyable balls ever held j in Cromwell.
