SUBMARINE DISASTER

PARIS, June 1. All the members of the crew of the Pluviose have been promoted in order that their relatives may obtain higher pension pay, which continues until the bodies have been recovered, or for six months. The salvage operations have been delayed by violent weather. v June 2. The high seas having abated, the search and examination of the Pluviose was continued. One of the hatches was found half open. Apparently the sailors had tried to escape. LONDON, June 5. The French submarine Pluviose was fixed by means of eight chains to pontoons and then tugged ashore.
