WELLINGTON WING WHISPERS

By Peter Pan. Friday, February 4. Dear Pasquin,—We are to have a big attraction at Easter—no less a show than J. M. Barrie's fantastical play "Peter Pan.'' The company will open at the Opera Houston Easter Saturday, and J. C. Williamson is sending the complete scenery and effects used when the play was played in Sydney- two years ago with Miss Tittell Brune in the role of Peter. Mr Royle, who this morning received advice confirming the tour, tells me that Miss Lizette Parkes. who was round this way several years agowith Meynell and. Gunn's companies, will be the Peter of the new company, and that Captain Hook will be played by •Mr Thomas Kingston. The remainder of the cast will be almost the same as that in Australia. "Peter Pan" should be ver.v welcome at the holiday time. The local season will extend over three weeks. Fred Duval passed through this city last week en route to the West Coast. Victor the Great, a conjurer,, arrived from Sydney on Wednesday to join the. Fuller circuit. Mr J. A. Matheson, advance agent "or the Besses o' th' Barn. Band, is due her? to-morrow, and Mr A. W. Batiste, touring manager, on Wednesday. The band is at present doing the West Coast. The Wellington season commences on the 16tb inst. Rickards's Company closes to-morrow night after a successful season. To-mor-row night Bob Fitzsirnmons engages in a three-round bout with a local exponent, H. Sando w. The permanent shows are all doing good business, Deave'-s Manikins being an especial draw at the Theatre Royal. -
