THE TOWN TEAM. The following will represent the Town against Counti*y next Saturday: — Full back, Kindley. Three-quarters— Chambers, Don, O'Sullivan. Five-eighths— Eckhold and Dougherty. The above piavcrs are requested to meet at the Calodonian Ground on Tuesday and Thursday, at 7.30 p.m., for practice. REMOVAL OF SUSPENSION. NAPIER, August 11. The Rovers Football Club (Hasting) hae apologised for. their action in refusing to play a recent fixture on account of thfir objection to a certain referee, and the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union to-nigftt accepted the apology and removed Jie suspension."
NEW ZEALAND UNION. WELLINGTON, August 13. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union to-night considered a protest by W. Fraser, of Southland, against his disqualification for disputing a referee's ruling. Fraser, who denied the charge, is to be informed that the appeal is not in order, not having been lodged within the stipulated time. Mr H. Kellv leaves Wellington for Sydney to-morrow to represent the New Zealand Rugby Union in respect to its financial interests in the tour of the British team in Australia.
