SHIP ABANDONED AT SEA. SYDNEY, January 30. The underwriters have received a cablegram stating that the ship Eclipse, coal laden, and bound from Newcastle to San Francisco, has been abandoned at sea. A STEAMER ASHORE. ADELAIDE, January 29. The steamer Investigator, with 300 excursionists to the Port Pirie regatta from Port Augusta, is ashore at Cockle Point, Spencer Gulf. Assistance has been sent. January 30. The steamer Investigator, which went ashore at Cockle Point, in Spencer Gulf, with 300 excursionists to the Port Pirie regatta from Port Augusta, has been safely refloated.
