THE WOOL SALES
LONDON, January 28. At the wool sales the following were the average prices realised for the fleece portions of the clips named: — Titi, 9^d ; Pakipaki, lOd. The market is fair, and prices for all sorts are unchanged. Amei ican, buyers are operating well. January 29. There was an animated sale ; merinos are hardening ; crossbreds very irregular. The Gore clip realised lO^d per lb. January 30. At the woql sales the Tehoe clip realised 9J,d and 9id. January 31. The wool sales were iregular, and there ■were considerable -w Ifthdrawials. Good wools are very firm, but other soits are in the buyers' favour. The Ngr.tapa clip realised 9id. At the wool sales there was brisk competition. There were some withdrawals of faulty greasies. February 2. At the wool sales there was brisk competition. There weie some withdrawals of faulty greasies. There was a good sale, and prices were firm for all qualities. The W.D. clip realised 9|d. There have been catalogued to date 107,950 bales, and so,ld 98.643 bales.
