A few lines have changed hands at 4s 3d and 4s Id per bushel for immediate delivery. Quality so far has been good, the wheat being well-grown and thinskinned. To-day's values are: — Tuscan and pearl 4s 4d. Huntei's 4s 3d. Oats: The market has considerably weakened owing to the larger quantity on 'offer, and also to the low offerings made by southern holders of old oats. Reported sales to Australia at one time had «, better effect on the market, but laiger offerings have again lowered the prices. The market closes- in an unsettled state, theie being little demand at quotations, which are- — Heavy Gartons and Canadians 2s 3d. lighter Gartons and dims ?s Id to 2s 2d, Danish and light duns 2s. Oatsheaf chaff: There has been some inquiry for prime sheaf chaff, £2 10s to £3 being offered, but so far no sales have been made, the straw not yet being in a condition to cut and press into bag?.
