TABLE TALK. Monday, October 9.

On Wednesday evening Mrs James Mills entertained some friends to dinner at "Mount Lodge."

On Friday evening Dr and Mrs Lincio Ferguson gave a dinner party at "Tiansit House."

Mr Justice Williams left on Thursday for Wellington, to attend the sittings of the Appeal' Court. Mis Williams accompanied the judge to Wellington.

Mr and Mrs 0. M. Ritchie left by Monday's express for Wellington, and expect to return in the beginning of next week.

Mrs W. Edniond, who, with her little girl, left some months ago for England, returned last week by the Paparoa, via Hobart. -

Mr and Mrs Reid, of Elderslie, and Miss Reid, who left for Europe iv the autumn, are now on their return journey, having reached Melbourne last week, and are expected to arrive on Tuesday by the "Warrimoo.

The Hon. George M'Lean, Mrs and the Misses M'Lean, who have spent the winter months in Wellington, returned to Dunedin, on Saturday.

Mr and Mrs Arthur Fisher returned last week from Auckland, where Mr Fisher took part in the New Zealand Golf Championship.

Mrs and Miss Olive Royse left on Wednesday for Napier, where they join Miss Royse and , her brother, who has now recovered from his severe illness, at the Thames.

Miss Neill returned on Friday from Christchurch.

Mrs Stilling is at present visiting friends in Christchurch.
