Wages are fip-top, and we quote as follows— Ploughmen, 22s 6d, 235, 255; leading ploughmen and waggon drivers, 27s 6d, 30s; shepherds ,£6O, £65, £70; station and farm" couples, % £7O to £80 ; good milkers, 20s, 22s fid; station fencers, 22s 6d, 255; station blacksmiths, 27s 6d, 30s ; country hotel grooms and poofter®, 17s 6d, 20s; nax-cuttecs, ss, 6s, 7s,. per ton; scutchers; 20s ton; scutching and baling, 30s; Boill twincls, 6s, 7s per day; others 9d per hour.
