At the annual meeting of shareholders in the Stirling" Dairy Factory Company it was decided to pay a dividend of 6 per cent., as recommended by the directors. The retiring directors (Messrs G. M'Donald, G. Anderson, and J. Morrison) and the retiring auditor (Mr J. C. Mitchell) were re-elected.

A Melbourne cable states that at a sale of hides the rates were fully maintained. Kips were slightly easier. Tallow values declined 5s to 10s.

A Wellington telegram states that the Customs duty collected at Wellington during the quarter which closed on Saturday totalled £196,077. This beats the previous record — namely, the corresponding quarter of last yea*,— by £5136.
