A Correction. TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — Kindly permit me to correct a small error appearing in your Country News coltuims in this week's issue. Your Owaka correspondent says tiiat "the Rev. F. W. Boreham (Mtosgiel) is to give a lecture in the Baptist Church oil September 4," whereas the lecture is to be given on the sth (Tuesday). Mr Boreham will give his popular lecture. "Afloat and Ashore," on the 4th proximo (Monday), at Tahatika. Perhaps this may account for the above-mentioned error. As many are anticipating enjoying a pleasant evening on these occasions this correction is sent merely to prevent confusion and disappointment. — I am, etc., F. C Every. Owaka, August 17, 1905.
The Government has decided to establish a fruit experimental station at Tauranga. A five-acre section is to be secured for the purpose. Though Boreas on biting blast Howls from tho Frozen Pole, And swept beibre Lirn, flying fast, The sullen storm-clouds roll ; Though coughs and colds are in his wake, Yet still I feel secure, And fear him not, because I take My Woods' Gseat Peppermint Ctfbe.
