THE MOERAKI SHOOTING CASE.

At the Supreme Court sittings to-day Pctor M'Laren Clifford was found " Guilty " of the charge brought against him of wounding Albert Nelson at Moeraki on the 11th January, with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Tho jury added to their verdict a recommendation to mercy on account of the great provocation offered him by the conduct of Nelson Clifford was admitted to probation for 12 months and ordered to pay 3s a week for that time towards tho costs of the prosecution.
